The Central District Prosecutors' Office Forms Special Investigation Team for 'Sillim-dong Sexual Assault and Murder' Case
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 25th that it has formed a dedicated investigation team to probe Choi Yoon-jong (30, in custody), the suspect in the 'Sillim-dong sexual assault murder' case who was transferred to the prosecution. Four prosecutors have been assigned to the investigation team. Kim Bong-jun, head prosecutor of the Women's and Children's Investigation Division 2, will lead the team.

Choi Yoon-jong is accused of brutally beating, sexually assaulting, and murdering a female victim on the hiking trail of Mokgolsan, connected to Gwanaksan Ecological Park in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, on the 17th. He faces charges of rape and murder under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.
