Namwon-si to Host 'Roller Speed Competition' at Comprehensive Sports Town on 27th
Namwon City in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 24th that it will hold the "1st Namwon Mayor's Open Roller Speed Competition" at the inline track stadium within Namwon Comprehensive Sports Town on the 27th.
The Roller Speed Competition, held for the first time as the Namwon Mayor's Cup, is hosted by the Namwon City Sports Council, organized by the Namwon City Roller Sports Federation, and sponsored by Namwon City and the Jeollabuk-do Roller Sports Federation. The event aims to promote the status of the Namwon Korea Open tournament to nationwide and international clubs and enthusiasts.
On the 27th, the "1st Namwon Mayor's Cup Open Roller Speed Competition" will be held at the inline track stadium within Namwon Sports Town.

Namwon is one of the few cities equipped with a dedicated dome stadium for roller sports. At this competition, national and international pure clubs and hobbyist teams will compete in individual and team roller speed events, with about 300 athletes from 17 teams participating to showcase their honed skills.
The competition will be conducted in an open race format, and awards such as certificates will be given based on the final rankings.
A city official stated, "Through this competition, we plan to foster and develop the roller sports industry and improve the performance of domestic athletes by promoting competition and exchange among regional players."
