Ulsan Ulju-gun, Dudong Jungri District Local Stream Maintenance Project Implementation
Ulsan-si Ulju-gun has announced the implementation plan for the river maintenance project for Junglicheon in Bonggye-ri, Dudong-myeon.
Junglicheon has frequently experienced flooding damage to residential areas and farmland due to river overflow during natural disasters, highlighting the ongoing need for a comprehensive river maintenance project covering the entire section rather than partial repairs and maintenance work.
Additionally, Junglicheon ranks high in priority for river improvement projects according to the basic river plan, and considering its characteristics as a floodplain formed by houses and farmland, the urgency for maintenance is even greater.
Accordingly, Ulju-gun plans to complete the river maintenance project for the entire section of Junglicheon by 2025, starting with the announcement of the river construction implementation plan and proceeding with land compensation next year.
The county will invest approximately 23.6 billion KRW, including city and county funds, to prevent river damage caused by natural disasters such as typhoons and heavy rains, and to create an eco-friendly river environment.
