Neowiz to Develop Game Based on Japanese Animation 'Konjiki no Gash!!'
Neowiz announced on the 24th that it will participate in the development project of a new mobile game to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Japanese TV animation "Konjiki no Gash!!". The project involves three companies: Neowiz, Neowiz's Japanese subsidiary "GameOn," and Japan's largest animation studio "Toei Animation."
The three companies will produce a mobile nurturing RPG titled "Konjiki no Gash!! Eien no En no Tomodachi," utilizing the "Konjiki no Gash!!" IP (intellectual property). Neowiz will be responsible for game development, aiming to deliver a game that offers both familiar and fresh enjoyment by leveraging the popular Japanese animation IP. GameOn and Toei Animation will handle overall game services, including publishing and operations within Japan.
The Japanese TV animation "Konjiki no Gash!!" is based on the popular manga "Konjiki no Gash!!" by Raiku Makoto. It aired for three years starting in April 2003 and enjoyed steady popularity.
The mobile game "Konjiki no Gash!! Eien no En no Tomodachi" will inherit the characters and adventure stories from the animation "Konjiki no Gash!!," evoking nostalgia for the original animation while faithfully implementing nurturing elements such as the bond system and support cards.
