More than 100 participants took part, including Hanul Headquarters' security police, special security forces, in-house fire brigade, subordinate units of the 50th Division, Uljin County police and fire departments, and Uljin County Office's radiation measurement team.
The drill scenario assumed that an unauthorized drone was detected approaching the power plant, with security police and special security personnel responding initially. However, the drone, loaded with explosives, crashed into the fuel building of Hanul Unit 1 Nuclear Power Plant and self-detonated. Taking advantage of the ensuing confusion, terrorists infiltrated the ground and took hostages.
Following the situation report from Hanul Headquarters' security police, the stationed troops within the headquarters took initial actions. Reinforcements from the Uljin Brigade and the police coastal operation strike team were dispatched to search and scout the nuclear power plant area, preserve the original point, control access, operate checkpoints, and lead the initial response.
Simultaneously, after confirming whether there was any radioactive leakage at the explosion site, fire suppression and rescue activities were conducted. Subordinate units of the Army's 50th Division were sequentially deployed to detect additional explosives. The drill concluded with aerial reconnaissance, coastal searches around the nuclear power plant, and joint operations by the special forces tactical team and special mission unit to suppress the terrorists.
