HL Group Supports Slovenia with $100,000 Following Heavy Rain Damage
HL Group announced on the 22nd that it has donated $100,000 in relief funds to the Korean Red Cross for Slovenia, which suffered damage from heavy rains.
Earlier this month, record-breaking floods caused thousands of evacuees in northern Slovenia. Chung Mong-won (photo), chairman of HL Group, established ties with Slovenia through the International Ice Hockey Federation. In 2019, he was appointed Honorary Consul of Slovenia by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea.

HL Holdings and major affiliates collected the relief funds. Korea and Slovenia established diplomatic relations in 1992. This year, 31 years later, the Slovenian Embassy officially opened. Ambassador Jernej M?ller expressed, "We are grateful for Korea's deep kindness," and added, "We will convey words of comfort to the local people."
