Hanjinseon’s “2 Eagles, 2 Consecutive Wins”… “I am the Queen of High1”
"6-Stroke Victory at High1 Resort Women's Open
First Back-to-Back Wins in 2 Years... Cheers for 144 Million KRW
Im Jin-hee and Lee Ga-young Tie for 2nd, Park Min-ji 6th"
Hanjin-seon has been crowned the 'Queen of High1'.
On the 20th, she surged with a 7-under-par in the 4th round at the High1 Resort Women's Open (total prize money 800 million KRW) held at High1 Country Club (par 72, 6,573 yards) in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, part of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, securing a commanding 6-stroke victory (14-under-par 274). This marks her second career win, one year after her first victory at this tournament last year. Successfully defending her title, she earned a winner's prize of 144 million KRW.

Hanjin-seon is the second player, after Im Hee-jeong, to win back-to-back titles at the High1 Resort Women's Open, now in its 12th edition, but this is the first time a player has won two consecutive years. Im Hee-jeong's back-to-back wins took two years because the tournament was not held in 2020 due to COVID-19, winning in 2019 and 2021. Players who have won this tournament twice include Yoo So-yeon (2009, 2015), Im Hee-jeong, and now Hanjin-seon, making her the third.
Starting from a tie for 3rd place, 2 strokes behind, Hanjin-seon collected two eagles and three birdies. On the 7th hole (par 4), her second shot from 161 yards was holed, and on the 11th hole (par 5), her third shot from 100 yards with a wedge disappeared into the cup. This is the third time in KLPGA Tour history that a player has won with two shot eagles. Kim Se-young did so at the 2013 Hanwha Finance Classic, and Choi Hye-jin at the 2017 Chojeong Carbonated Water Yongpyong Resort Open.
Hanjin-seon exclaimed, "It was a lucky day," adding, "When the second eagle came, I even thought, 'This is my golf course.'" She continued, "Even after my long-awaited first win last year, it didn't feel real, and this time it still doesn't feel real," emphasizing, "Having achieved one of my two goals this year?defending my title and winning a major?I will next challenge myself to win a major tournament."
