After Training, Strong Warning May Be Issued Targeting the Philippines and China
The United States is planning to conduct joint exercises in the South China Sea together with Japan and Australia.
According to Japan's Kyodo News on the 18th, the United States, Japan, and Australia are planning to dispatch large vessels carrying aircraft to the Philippines on the 23rd to conduct joint exercises in the South China Sea.
It has been reported that Japan has already decided to send the largest escort ship of the Maritime Self-Defense Force, "Izumo," and Australia will send the amphibious assault ship "Canberra" for the joint exercises. The United States is expected to dispatch the amphibious assault ship "America." They plan to conduct training where their aircraft take off and land on each other's ships. Afterwards, the vessels are expected to dock at Manila Port in the Philippines.
Although the Philippines will not participate in the exercises, Kyodo News predicted that commanders from the four countries?the United States, Japan, Australia, and the Philippines?may gather to deliver a strong message.
