'Arrest Warrant Issued for Man in His 40s Accused of Repeated Precious Metal Theft'

The police have applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 40s who was caught repeatedly stealing precious metals.
According to the police on the 17th, the Jungnang Police Station in Seoul applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, a man in his 40s, on suspicion of habitual theft the previous day. Mr. A is accused of stealing precious metals worth about 5 million won from a precious metals store in Jungnang-gu at around 11:30 a.m. on the 15th.
The police tracked Mr. A through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and caught him within an hour as he was leaving Jongno-gu after selling the precious metals. It is reported that Mr. A asked to see the precious metals as a gift for his parents' 70th birthday party, then took the precious metals and fled by taxi.

Investigations revealed that Mr. A committed theft four times using the same method since the 11th in Seodaemun-gu and Jongno-gu in Seoul, as well as in Guri-si, Gyeonggi Province.
