Shinhan Bank Introduces 'Voice Phishing Monitoring Video Verification'
The First Commercial Bank
Shinhan Bank announced on the 16th that it has introduced the 'Voice Phishing Monitoring Video Verification System,' the first of its kind among commercial banks, which verifies identity through real-time video.
This system allows monitoring staff to conduct a real-time video call through the monitoring system to verify the customer's identity immediately when an abnormal financial transaction occurs, comparing and confirming it with the actual customer information.
With the introduction of this system, Shinhan Bank's monitoring staff can now request a video call from the customer when suspicious transactions occur and instantly verify the identity by comparing it with the customer information stored in the bank's data. Monitoring staff will actively respond by suspending transactions if the customer conducting the financial transaction differs from the account holder or refuses to verify their identity through this system.
