Emart announced on the 16th that it will hold a 'So Surprise' event from the 18th to the 20th, offering up to 50% discount on Korean beef. From the 17th to the 23rd, it will also hold a 'Grape Peak' event, offering a 32% discount on all varieties of domestic seasonal grapes.
Emart, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the National Hanwoo Association, and the Hanwoo Self-Governing Fund Management Committee, will conduct the 'So Surprise 2023 Korea Hanwoo Sale' from the 18th to the 20th. When accumulating Shinsegae points, customers can receive a 50% discount on soup cuts and bulgogi (refrigerated) items based on the regular price. Sirloin, tenderloin, striploin, and brisket (refrigerated) will be discounted by 40%. For the popular Hanwoo cut sirloin, grade 1 (female cow) will be offered at the event price. Buyers directly participated in the Hanwoo auction and secured about 45 tons of Hanwoo at a low price through prior planning with excellent partners.
From the 17th to the 23rd, all varieties of domestic grapes in season will be offered at a 32% discount. Domestic Shine Muscat, Kyoho, and Campbell grapes from famous production areas will be prepared with an 8,000 won discount when paid in full with the event card. August is the season when fresh domestic grapes are shipped in earnest, and the 'Grape Peak' themed event was planned accordingly.
Looking at Emart's fruit sales by item in August, domestic grapes, based on the popularity of Shine Muscat which first gained attention in 2021, surpassed other fruits to rank first in sales and maintained the top position last year as well.
