Pohang City Wins Top Prize at the 8th Korea International Tourism Expo 'Great Achievement'
International Tourism Award Content Category 'Grand Prize' Winner
From the 11th to the 14th, Pohang City participated in the 8th Korea International Tourism Expo (Korea Travel Expo Across the Country) held for four days at Ilsan KINTEX and achieved the great feat of winning the 'Grand Prize' in the Korea International Tourism Award content category.
Now in its 8th year, this expo is a nationwide travel fair hosted by the Korea International Tourism Expo Organizing Committee, with participation from 119 local governments and over 70 institutions and companies.
At the promotional booth, key filming locations of ‘Gaetmaeul Chachacha’ and ‘When the Camellia Blooms’ were introduced, including ▲Cheongha Gongjin Market ▲Guryongpo Japanese House Street ▲Space Walk ▲Homigot Hand of Coexistence ▲Igari Anchor Observatory, along with Pohang’s representative foods such as Pohang Mulhoe, Pohang Snow Crab, and Pohang Gwamegi, promoting Pohang as a marine cultural tourism city.
Additionally, Pohang showcased its uniqueness by screening tourism promotional videos, conducting SNS events, and roulette spin events, giving away promotional materials.
