Gimhae City Asks Citizens for Input on the 2024 Budget Planning
Survey from August 14 to 28
Gimhae City in Gyeongnam Province will conduct a citizen survey on the 2024 budget formulation from the 14th to the 28th.
According to the city, the survey will cover 12 categories, including ▲financial management and investment ▲resident participation budget system, among others.

Gimhae citizens and representatives or executives of businesses located in Gimhae can participate by clicking the survey image in the shortcut section on the homepage's main screen or through the survey section on the citizen participation bulletin board on the website.
They may also fill out the survey forms available at nearby eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers.
The city plans to disclose the survey results to citizens through the city website.
The collected citizen opinions will be reflected in the 2024 Gimhae City budget formulation and utilized in establishing the mid-term local financial plan.

View original imageA city official stated, “We will expand communication channels to reflect citizens' voices in city administration and prepare various resident participation policies to incorporate more citizens' thoughts,” adding, “We ask for active interest and participation in this survey so that citizens' valuable opinions can be reflected in next year's budget formulation.”
Previously, based on the results of the survey conducted last year for the 2023 budget proposal, Gimhae City formulated a budget of 2.1244 trillion won.

The budget allocations are as follows: ▲social welfare 680 billion won (38.91%) ▲transportation and logistics 168.8 billion won (9.66%) ▲culture and tourism 146.4 billion won (8.38%) ▲environment 128.5 billion won (7.36%) ▲agriculture, forestry, marine, and fisheries 113.4 billion won (6.49%) ▲general public administration 104.1 billion won (5.96%) ▲land and regional development 85.1 billion won (4.87%) ▲industry and small and medium enterprises 48.9 billion won (2.80%) ▲health 34.4 billion won (1.97%) ▲public order and safety 16.5 billion won (0.94%) ▲education 15.6 billion won (0.89%).
