Catholic Andong Diocese Donates 60 Million Won to Yeongju City... "Please Use for Flood Victims"
Yeongju City announced that the Catholic Andong Diocese (Bishop Kwon Hyuk-ju) visited Yeongju City Hall on the 11th and donated 60 million won for neighborly aid.
The donated funds will be used for vulnerable groups and households in crisis in the Yeongju area through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.

View original imageVicar General Father Kim Hak-rok said, "The Catholic dioceses nationwide have provided significant support for flood victims who suffered great damage due to recent heavy rains," adding, "We donated funds to Yeongju with the hope that the flood victims will return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Park Nam-seo, Mayor of Yeongju City, said, "We deeply appreciate the Catholic Andong Diocese for their precious donation," and added, "The donated funds will be used carefully and meaningfully to help neighbors in need in the region."

The Catholic Andong Diocese Social Welfare Foundation, under the Catholic Andong Diocese, is currently supporting 50 refrigerators (worth about 48 million won) for temporary housing of flood victims in four areas (Yeongju, Bonghwa, Yecheon, Mungyeong) and is also supporting housing environment improvement projects for multicultural families.
