A man in his 20s who lost consciousness at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul was safely rescued thanks to the quick report by British scouts participating in the 2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree.
According to Gangnam Fire Station on the 11th, at around 2:40 PM on the 8th, a man in his 20s, Mr. A, lost consciousness and collapsed while walking inside COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The British Scout delegation, which left early from the Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree event, is watching the K League 2023 professional football match between Seoul E-Land and Gyeongnam FC held on the 6th at Mokdong Sports Complex in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. View original imageThe British Jamboree delegation members who witnessed the scene ran directly to firefighters from Gangnam Fire Station who were conducting fire safety inspections nearby and reported the incident.
The Jamboree members said, "A person has collapsed," and guided the firefighters to the accident site.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, Mr. A was in a state of semi-consciousness. It was reported that he was in poor condition, having sustained injuries including a fracture to his right clavicle from the fall.
The firefighters provided emergency treatment to Mr. A while immobilizing the fractured area for about 30 minutes.
