Middle School Girl Who Posted "I'll Kill You All" Threat Arrested
A teenage girl who posted a stabbing threat was apprehended by the police.
The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 11th that they have detained and are investigating A (14) on charges of intimidation.
A is suspected of posting a threat on her Instagram account in the early morning of the 10th, mentioning the Gwangju area and warning of a weapon rampage.
In the post, A wrote "Stabbing" and "I will kill everyone," along with a photo holding a knife.
The police received related reports, checked A's SNS account, identified her personal information, and apprehended her at her residence.
A told the police, "Since it was a private account, I thought only my friends would see it, and I posted it as a joke."
A police official explained, "To apprehend those who post crime threats, we have organized a dedicated tracking team within the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit and are maintaining a 24-hour response system."
