According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of posting on Danggeun Market around 9 a.m. on the 4th, stating, "I will carry out a stabbing rampage at Hyehwa Station from 3 p.m. to midnight on the 5th" (charge: threat). Danggeun Market stated that Mr. A deleted the problematic post himself within 8 seconds. However, screenshots of the post spread on other online communities. Danggeun Market explained that since the view count on the externally spread screenshots shows zero, it is presumed that no one other than the author saw the post at the time the screenshot was taken.
After receiving a report, the police identified the suspect through internet address tracking and arrested Mr. A at his home in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 5th.
