Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Provides Emergency Accommodation and Meals for 'Jamboree Early Departure Students' at High School Dormitories
Providing Meals and Lodging for 1,500 People Daily at School Dormitory Facilities
Supporting Cultural and Arts Education Programs, Historical Site Exploration, and More
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will provide emergency accommodation, meals, and cultural, artistic, and sports programs for participants from countries who left early after attending the '2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree' event.
On the 7th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education stated that from that day until the 11th, it will offer the following to participants who left the World Jamboree early: ▲ accommodation and meals using school dormitory facilities ▲ Challenge Adventure programs at the Student Education Center under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education ▲ daily sports programs ▲ cultural and artistic education programs ▲ Seoul cultural heritage exploration programs. Additionally, support will be provided for student interpreters, video filming, and medical volunteer services at experience sites.
Using the dormitory facilities of Seoul Physical Education High School and 4 to 5 public high schools, accommodation and meals will be provided for about 1,500 people per day, along with experiential activities linked to programs operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.
Furthermore, at each education center of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Student Education Center, various Challenge Adventure programs such as new sports, safety experiences, ecological experiences, and water safety will be offered, and Seoul Physical Education High School will provide daily sports experience activities. The Creative Arts Education Center will support specialized programs of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, including cultural and artistic education programs (art, music, dance). Cultural heritage exploration programs of Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Namsan Hanok Village, and the Folk Museum will also be provided.
In addition, student interpreter support from Daewon Foreign Language High School and video filming support from Kwangshin Broadcasting Arts High School, as well as medical volunteer services for each experience, are planned.

Cho Hee-yeon, Superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "During the remaining Jamboree period, we will do our best in cooperation with the Seoul city government to utilize various infrastructures of Seoul education so that the Scout participants visiting our country can experience K-Culture through diverse cultural, artistic, and sports programs and return with good memories."
