At the '25th World Scout Jamboree' held in Saemangeum, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk, various controversies have arisen, including a surge in heat-related illnesses and hygiene issues. Amid these concerns, there has now been a report that mold was found on food supplies provided by the Jamboree Organizing Committee.
On the 2nd, Mr. A, who participated in the Saemangeum Jamboree, reported to News1 that mold had grown on roasted eggs among the food supplies he received to manage his meals.
Mr. A stated that there was a white foreign substance on the eggshells, and black mold had grown inside the eggs. According to reports, out of about 80 roasted eggs distributed to around 40 members, mold was found on 6 eggs.
Additionally, it is known that the food supplies were not delivered on time, causing disruptions to the schedule.
There was also a report that the mart located within the Jamboree was overcharging. Informant Mr. B said, "I stood in line for 200 meters to buy two rolls of toilet paper, but was charged 4,000 won," and added that the members who visited the mart were expressing dissatisfaction.

He continued, "Since this is an event with many participants, some poor environmental conditions can be somewhat tolerated," but pointed out, "However, the issues of food supplies not being delivered on time, mold appearing on food supplies, and cases of profiteering at the mart seem to be quite serious."
In response to the controversy, a representative of the Saemangeum Jamboree Organizing Committee explained, "The roasted eggs provided to Jamboree participants were immediately discarded upon discovery, and no participant consumed them."
