Successful Completion of the 'Jangbogo Cup Beach Volleyball Tournament' at Wando Myeongsasimni Beach
63 Beach Volleyball Clubs Nationwide... Approximately 600 Participants
The "20th Jangbogo Cup National Men and Women Beach Volleyball Tournament" was successfully held over two days from the 29th to the 30th of last month at Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach and its surrounding area.
According to the county on the 2nd, this tournament saw participation from 63 beach volleyball clubs nationwide, with about 600 players. The players competed fiercely in men’s and women’s club divisions, middle-aged division, and senior division, providing tourists visiting the beach with unique entertainment and memorable experiences.

Kim Hyun-cheol, Vice County Governor, said in his welcoming speech, “I am honored that the tournament is held at Sinji Myeongsashipri, which has received the Blue Flag international certification?an eco-friendly and safe beach award?for five consecutive years and is the best summer resort.” He added, “I hope this event becomes a festival where club members strengthen their bonds and harmony.”
As for the tournament results, in the men’s club division, the first place went to the Zero Cola team, second place to the JNJ team, and joint third place to the Remember team and the Ijjakro team. In the women’s club division, first place was awarded to the Mokpo Club team, second place to the Queen Cider team, and joint third place to the Ssangam Club team and the Army Soldiers team.
In the middle-aged division, first place was taken by the Dribaka team, second place by the Deulimireo team, and joint third place by the Jeonbok Gwang-eo team and the Shinsegye team. In the senior division, first place went to the Woori Haengnim team, second place to the Weletsgo B team, and joint third place to the Jangbogo Club and Letsgo A team.
Additionally, special awards were given to the Nonsan City Volleyball Mothers’ Group for the longest distance traveled, and the Yeongam County Volleyball Association and Haenam Woori Club teams for the highest number of participants.
Meanwhile, Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach is a premium beach that has been selected for the Blue Flag international certification for five consecutive years, an award given to eco-friendly and safe beaches.
Moreover, climate healing programs utilizing the marine climate such as Nordic walking, beach Pilates, and beach meditation, as well as cultural healing programs engaging the five human senses, are offered. Free experience programs for water leisure sports like kayaking and paddleboarding are also available.
