He pulled the cart toward the moving truck as if he were a moving company employee. The man lingered around the truck but passed by without loading the items onto it.
Afterward, the man disappeared with the belongings, and shortly after, a report was filed with the police stating that the moving items had gone missing. Responding to the report, the police tracked the man's movements through CCTV and conducted inquiries in the area. Within two hours of the investigation, the police located the last position of the man captured on CCTV.
As the police entered the parking lot of the building where the man had gone, they coincidentally spotted the same man from the CCTV footage and immediately arrested him on the spot.
The stolen moving belongings were confirmed to be electronic appliances worth approximately 1 million won, and the items were reportedly returned to their original owner.
In June, a 'two-grandmother' theft gang also caused controversy

Earlier in June, two women in their 80s were caught by the police for stealing high-value items such as tablet PCs from moving belongings. They are suspected of stealing electronic devices like tablet PCs and hairdryers from moving items left in front of a multi-family house in Cheonho-dong, Seoul.
The CCTV footage of the crime scene showed the two grandmothers rummaging through the moving belongings, taking tablet PCs and daily necessities, and cutting the wires of electronic devices to take them. When a man who appeared to be a neighbor and a moving company employee caught them in the act, the grandmothers reportedly said, "We didn't know it was moving belongings."
