Junggyeonryeon Donates 466 Million KRW in Flood Recovery Funds and Supplies
Donation to the Korean Red Cross and Community Chest of Korea
The Korea Federation of Medium-sized Enterprises announced on the 2nd that it donated special funds and goods worth 466 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross and others to support recovery from the heavy rain damage and aid flood victims that occurred in mid-July.
Donations worth 248 million KRW were given to the Korean Red Cross, and goods worth 218 million KRW were delivered to the Gyeongsangbuk-do branch of the Community Chest of Korea to support flood recovery in Gyeongsangbuk-do, which was declared a special disaster area.
On July 21, the Federation sent official letters to its member companies requesting participation in flood recovery support and collected donations and goods for a week. Twenty-eight medium-sized enterprises participated in the special fundraising, including Euracorporation, SIMPAC, Samgu I&C, Juseong Engineering, Taekyung Chemical, Korea Carbon, Pungjeon Nonferrous, Heerim Architects & Planners, Gibosteel, YIK, Ewha Diamond Industry, Daechang, Tmax TIBERO, Dong-A Eltech, MiraeN, Synopex, Osang Healthcare, Infac, Jeniel, Korea FT, Korea Paper, Shinyoung, YG-One, Wonil Special Steel, Hyundai Polytech, Ideok I&C, HJ Magnolia Yongpyong Hotel & Resort, and FST.

Additionally, Synopex contributed 1,000 sets of water purification filters, Dongin Giyun provided 251 multipurpose backpacks and 379 multipurpose tote bags, Gioyoung donated 100,000 KF94 masks, Samil Pharmaceutical supplied 120,000 protein drinks, and Bumwoo Chemical Industry supported with 1,920 anti-corrosion lubricants, among various other goods.
