Groundbreaking Ceremony Held on August 7 to Promote and Wish for Successful Construction
Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) is actively addressing the low birthrate issue by building the ‘Yangcheon-gu Care Town’ by 2025, which will provide one-stop childcare services ranging from care, meal management, experiential activities, toy library, to parenting knowledge.
To this end, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held on the 7th.
The ‘Yangcheon-gu Care Town’ will be constructed in Sinjeong 7-dong by rebuilding an old public daycare center building that has been in use for 30 years. The new building will have 2 basement floors and 5 above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 4,572.64㎡. The total project cost is approximately 24 billion KRW.
Inside the facility, various childcare facilities will be integrated into one space, including ▲Comprehensive Childcare Support Center ▲Toy Library · Shared Childcare Room ▲Kiwoom Center ▲Children’s Meal Management Support Center ▲Infant and Toddler Experience Center (Cooking Experience Room) ▲Public Daycare Center, providing a healthy growth environment for children and high-quality childcare environment for parents.
The groundbreaking ceremony on the 7th will proceed with a project progress report, construction status explanation, and groundbreaking ritual. About 100 people, including Mayor Lee Gi-jae, key guests, local residents, and representatives of tenant organizations, will attend to pray for safe construction and successful completion.
