Power Outage in Over 30 Apartment Units in Changwon Due to 'Kkachi'
The cause of the power outage at an apartment complex in Masanhwoin-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, which occurred on the 30th, was identified as a 'magpie.'
At around 8:30 a.m. that day, a loud "bang" sound was heard, and about 30 households on one line (corridor) experienced a power outage.
The interrupted power was restored and supplied again around 9:38 a.m. through the restoration work by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).
According to KEPCO on the 31st, the power outage was caused by a magpie touching a transformer on a utility pole.
