A Drunk 30-Year-Old Driver Who Caused an Accident Abandoned the Car and Fled Arrested

A man in his 30s who drove under the influence, crashed into a parked vehicle, and fled the scene was apprehended by the police.
According to the Masanjungbu Police Station in Changwon, Gyeongnam, driver A is accused of driving under the influence around 2 a.m. on the 31st near Masan Fish Market in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon, Gyeongnam, crashing into a vehicle parked on the shoulder and fleeing home.
The sports utility vehicle (SUV) driven by A collided with a van parked on the shoulder while driving from the fish market toward Hana Hospital.
The impact pushed the van into two parked passenger cars, damaging the vehicles, but no casualties were reported.
After the accident, A left his vehicle abandoned on the road without taking any action and fled. He was arrested at his residence about an hour after fleeing by the responding police officers.
A was unlicensed, and his blood alcohol concentration at the time of arrest was reported to be at the level warranting license cancellation.
