Fire at Gimhae Factory Contained After About 7 Hours

A factory fire in Saengnim-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, which occurred at 5:41 a.m. on the 31st, was initially extinguished at 1:13 p.m. the same day.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the fire broke out in a warehouse that had not been used for some time but was known to store rubber raw materials.
At the scene, 93 firefighters were deployed, and firefighting equipment such as fire trucks and water tanks, as well as heavy equipment including firefighting helicopters and excavators, were mobilized for extinguishing operations.

A fire official stated, "There is no risk of the fire spreading to the surrounding area, but since a large amount of rubber materials is piled up, it will take a long time until the fire is completely extinguished."
