532 Export Consultations at 'K-Content Expo in Yeongguk'
Increased from 358 Events in Spain Last Year
Held in Mexico and the United States in September, Belgium in November
Domestic content companies confirmed the rising status of K-content in London, UK. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 31st that they facilitated 532 export consultations at the 'K-Content Expo in the UK,' held over four days from the 24th at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London. Cho Hyun-rae, president of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "Many domestic companies have entered the European market, achieving remarkable results," adding, "We will continue various overseas expansion projects and support programs, such as the opening of the UK Overseas Business Center, to encourage entry into overseas markets."

The K-Content Expo is a business event that promotes domestic content companies across various genres, including broadcasting, games, animation, characters, and new technology convergence content, to overseas markets. This event, focused on the European region, featured thirty-five companies such as Devsisters, The Pinkfong Company, and Aurora World. They negotiated exports and established business partnerships with seventy-three major buyers from the UK as well as France, Spain, Germany, and other countries. A Korea Creative Content Agency official stated, "Eight business agreements were signed on-site, and the number of export consultations increased compared to last year's Spain event (358 cases)." They added, "We will continue supporting K-content's overseas expansion with events in Mexico and the United States in September and Belgium in November."
