Fair Trade Commission appoints new Secretary General 'Yuk Sung-kwon' and Investigation Manager 'Song Sang-min'
The Fair Trade Commission appointed Yuk Seong-gwon, Director of the Market Surveillance Bureau, as the new Secretary-General, and Song Sang-min, Secretary-General, as the Director of Investigation Management.

New Secretary-General Yuk Seong-gwon graduated from the Department of Law at Seoul National University and entered public service in 1996 through the 39th Administrative Examination. He has held key positions within the Fair Trade Commission, including Director of the Market Surveillance Bureau, Policy Officer for Market Structure Improvement, and Director of the Corporate Group Bureau.
While serving as Director of the Market Surveillance Bureau, Secretary-General Yuk led sanctions against violations of the 5G advertising law by the three major telecommunications companies. He is recognized for contributing to the restoration of fair competition in the market and creating a market environment trusted by consumers through enforcement actions against illegal activities in areas such as unfair trade practices, advertising, and e-commerce.
As Policy Officer for Market Structure Improvement, he contributed to improving competition-restricting systems and behaviors through establishing policies for restructuring monopolistic markets, reviewing major corporate mergers, and conducting economic analyses related to commission cases. While serving as Director of the Corporate Group Bureau, he promoted voluntary opening of business opportunities by large corporate groups in industries with a high proportion of internal transactions such as group catering, logistics, and IT services, thereby contributing to the establishment of a fair trade order.

He has held positions such as Secretary-General, Director of Competition Policy Bureau, and Director of Market Surveillance Bureau within the Fair Trade Commission.
