Jeongeup-si Announces 'Citizen Participation Policy Proposal' Contest Until the 25th of Next Month

Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk is accepting innovative and creative citizen participation policy proposals until the 25th of next month to improve citizen welfare and administrative services.

According to the city on the 28th, this contest is being held to reflect citizens' opinions in city administration, practice the administrative goal of "Citizen Participation Open Administration," and discover various policies including those that enhance resident convenience and are closely connected to residents.

Any Jeongeup citizen can participate in the contest, and adopted proposals will be reflected in city policies after going through procedures such as planning and budgeting.

The contest topics are divided into special topics and general topics. The special topic is to discover ideas to revitalize Jeongeup's local festivals, while the general topic is about improvements around us that citizens can feel or policies that should be implemented.

To apply, download the application form from the Jeongeup City website, fill it out, and submit it by mail or fax, or send it via email.

The city will select one grand prize winner and one excellence award winner in the special topic category, and one grand prize winner, one excellence award winner, and three encouragement award winners in the general topic category through evaluation, awarding certificates and prize money (Jeongeup Love Gift Certificates).

The results will be announced on the Jeongeup City website in October after comprehensively evaluating creativity, feasibility, and effectiveness.

Mayor Lee Hak-su said, "I ask citizens to actively propose various ideas with the mindset that they themselves are creating our city's policies," and added, "We will continue to discover diverse and innovative policies through citizen participation policy proposal contests and reflect them in city administration, striving to provide administrative services that citizens can truly feel."
