HDC I'Park Mall announced on the 28th that it will present various events where visitors can play and eat within the mall to celebrate the summer vacation season.
I'Park Mall Yongsan said that ahead of the full-fledged vacation season, it planned events across a wide range of categories to satisfy and entertain all customers, including those visiting the shopping mall, mall-cationers who want to spend time in a cool shopping mall, 휴포족 (people who gave up vacations due to high prices and unpredictable weather but came out to enjoy shopping), and foreign tourists who have increased due to the rise in overseas travel.
Analysis of customer sales data within I'Park Mall showed that the number of payment transactions by foreign tourists in the first quarter of this year increased by 210% compared to the same period last year. In June, it rose by 84% compared to the same month last year. Among foreign tourist sales transactions, the food and beverage (F&B) sector accounted for more than 74%, showing an increasing trend in both the number of transactions and their proportion.
Reflecting the recent dessert craze among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) and the fact that F&B is the main sales category for foreign tourists, I'Park Mall has transformed the caf? street on the 4th floor of The Center, where the highest foot traffic gathers, into a dessert alley. The 'Summer Vacance Dessert Fair,' which brings together popular desserts in one place, runs until the 2nd of next month. Visitors can enjoy over 20 types of desserts from 7 brands including ESC, Permect Greek Yogurt, Plantica, Modangsi, Eheya Seoul, Ogalmi, and Lepodrara.
The experiential pop-up store of GraviTrax will also be showcased at The Corner event hall on the 6th floor until the 10th of next month. GraviTrax is a marble run toy where players build creative tracks using various parts so that the action stone can reach the target point. At the pop-up store, visitors can directly experience various missions and enjoy discounts on all GraviTrax products as well as receive gifts.
