"Police Interfered with Assembly"…KCTU Files Complaints Against Chiefs of Namdaemun, Yongsan, and Jongno Police Stations
The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) filed a complaint against the police, claiming that the general strike rallies and marches held from the 3rd to the 15th were obstructed.

View original imageOn the 27th, the KCTU announced that it had submitted a complaint to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office against the chiefs of Namdaemun, Yongsan, and Jongno Police Stations on charges including abuse of authority, obstruction of the exercise of rights, dereliction of duty, and violation of the Assembly and Demonstration Act.
Yang Kyung-soo, chairman of the KCTU, said at a press conference on the 24th, "The police continuously provoked violence and blocked marches even during lawful assemblies, showing excessive loyalty to the president's words," adding, "We plan to take legal action against the Yongsan, Namdaemun, and Jongno police stations."

Earlier, during the general strike period, the KCTU filed three injunction applications, claiming that the police indiscriminately issued restrictions on assemblies and marches, and the court accepted these applications.
