Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Invites Colombian High-Level Officials for 'Cadastral System' Transfer
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is inviting high-ranking officials in the cadastral and land sectors from Colombia to share methods for establishing a multipurpose cadastral system.
On the 26th, the Ministry announced that since the 24th, it has been conducting a "Capacity Building Training for the Establishment of a Multipurpose Cadastral System in Colombia" for five days, inviting high-ranking officials from Colombia's Instituto Geogr?fico Agust?n Codazzi (IGAC), Departamento Nacional de Planeaci?n (DNP), Agencia Nacional de Tierras (ANT), and other cadastral and land-related sectors.
Since the inauguration of President Gustavo Petro in August last year, the Colombian government has been promoting rural reform to resolve the imbalance in land ownership structures outlined in the peace agreement between the government and rebel forces.
With a high need to establish a multipurpose cadastral system that can comprehensively manage cadastral and surveying results, real estate prices, and other cadastral and land information, Colombia has requested bilateral cooperation with South Korea in the field of cadastral and land information system establishment.
Based on cooperation with the Colombian government, this invited training program aims to share South Korea's experiences in cadastral surveying and real estate informatization with Colombian cadastral and land officials, and to discuss ODA cooperation plans for building a multipurpose cadastral system.
The invited delegation visited the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to hear about national land management policies and the status of national land satellite operations. They will also share experiences and knowledge regarding surveying technology from Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX), land informatization, and the real estate price disclosure system of the Korea Real Estate Board.
Additionally, the Colombian invited delegation will attend the 70th anniversary event of the armistice held in Busan on the 27th. Colombia is the only Latin American country that assisted South Korea during the Korean War.
