"Let's Help Yecheon Injured by Flood Damage"... Donations Pour in Nationwide
Daegu Medical Association and Jaok Sanmaekbanseok, Personal Donation Parade Continues
Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 26th that donations to support residents affected by the heavy rain disaster have been continuously pouring in from companies, organizations, and citizens across the country.
The Daegu Medical Association (President Jeong Hongsu) visited the Yecheon area directly and donated 30 million KRW to help victims struggling due to the flood damage. They also plan to support medical volunteer activities for residents in the affected areas in the future.
Agricultural machinery experts visiting Yecheon-gun are repairing tillers damaged by the flood.

Lee Yun-moon, CEO of Jaoksan Maekbanseok in Homyeong-myeon, Yecheon-gun, donated 20 million KRW to Yecheon-gun. Since 1996, Lee has been practicing continuous sharing activities by donating tens of millions of KRW annually.
Warm-heartedness from residents in other regions who witnessed the massive damage continues as well. TNC Co., Ltd. (CEO Hwang Byeongbong) based in Chungnam donated 20 million KRW to be delivered to households in need, and Nam Ju-young, a resident of Seongdong-gu, Seoul, donated 20 million KRW after seeing the devastating damage to help local residents. Son Sangseon from the Jaebu Hometown Association also contributed 10 million KRW upon hearing the heartbreaking news from his hometown, and Kim Seokhan of the Andong Kim clan donated 10 million KRW to join in the sharing.
As the hands of the residents who want to share their neighbors' pain continue, the National Construction Machinery Individual Business Operators Association Yecheon Branch (President Choi Jonggeuk) donated 10 million KRW, Yecheon Family Center (Director Joo Jeongha) 6.5 million KRW, Yecheon Pharmaceutical Association (President Kwon Jaejin) 5 million KRW, Korea Pharmaceutical Association (President Choi Kwanghoon), Manmul General Shopping (CEO Choi Changyeol) 5 million KRW, and Ilji Starchee (CEO Kim Bokhee) 5 million KRW were donated as well.
Businessmen from Yongmun-myeon, Yecheon-gun, Kwon Jungcheon (Heechang Mulsan), Kwon Junggap (Stanford Hotel), and Kwon Ilyeon (H Mart) visited Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 24th and generously donated 300 million KRW to help residents suffering from the recent heavy rain.
The three brothers have expressed their love for their hometown through their unique patriotism by using H Mart to expand sales of Yecheon agricultural and specialty products in the U.S. region and providing overseas training opportunities for local talents through the ‘Global Talent Development Project’.
In addition, many donations of money and goods continue to come from both inside and outside the region, conveying neighborly love to the victims who are experiencing great loss.
Kim Hakdong, Mayor of Yecheon-gun, said, “I sincerely thank everyone from all over the country and our neighbors nearby for their support to the affected residents.” He added, “We will do our best to continue searching for the remaining missing persons and focus on recovery so that the victims can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

On the 25th, Yecheon-gun moved the temporary shelter for disaster victims from the Culture and Sports Center to the dormitory of Gyeongbuk Provincial University to provide a more comfortable environment and reduce inconvenience. Public officials and volunteers are working overnight shifts to care for the victims.
