KT Launches 'Y Expedition'... Heading to San Francisco with People in Their 20s

On the 26th, KT announced that it is launching the ‘Y Expedition’ project to support overseas cultural experiences for customers in their 20s, embodying Y’s brand mission of encouraging new challenges and growth for people in their 20s. Y is KT’s brand exclusively for customers in their 20s. Under the slogan “Y Shining As You Are / Your Own Spotlight,” the brand is engaged in activities that support the growth of shining individuals in their 20s. The Y Expedition is the first overseas travel project conducted by KT Y.
The first destination of this Y Expedition is San Francisco, USA. The Y Expedition team is composed of the ‘Y Artists,’ a youth artist group operated by the Y brand, and the ‘Y Futurists,’ a university student marketing supporter group. They will explore famous spots in San Francisco with the theme of art & culture, gaining artistic inspiration and experiencing a journey to discover new aspects of themselves. Activities include visiting the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, interacting with local artists, and experiencing local culture.
Additionally, general customers can join the journey through communication on SNS channels during the travel period. The Y Futurists will produce vlog video content themselves and release it on the Y YouTube channel. The Y Artists will showcase illustrations created in their own styles themed around the San Francisco trip. These illustrations will be made into various goods, which will be revealed and sold through the Y Box app.

Ku Gang-bon, Executive Director of KT’s Customer Business Division, said, “Noting that people in their 20s have a strong desire for growth, we prepared the ‘Y Expedition’ program with the keyword ‘growth through travel,’ following the ‘Y Campus’ pop-up store operated in the first half of the year.” He added, “We will continue to operate the Y Expedition program in various travel destinations to continuously provide customers in their 20s with growth experiences through diverse cultural experiences.”
