LGU+ Doubles 'Good Store Campaign' to Support Small Business Owners
LG Uplus announced on the 26th that it will double the scale and benefits of its social contribution activity 'U+ Good Store Campaign' in collaboration with small business owners and strengthen coexistence with local communities.
Launched in September 2021, the U+ Good Store Campaign was planned to support small business owners who continue good deeds despite the prolonged difficulties caused by COVID-19 and to contribute to establishing a culture of sharing. LG Uplus selects small business owners who inspire with their exceptional good deeds and volunteer work every month and provides practical benefits for efficient store management.

The recruitment, screening, and selection of stories are conducted in cooperation with the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business. Until last year, LG Uplus supported two stores every month, but from this year's campaign (June to December), the selection scale has been doubled to support 4 to 5 stores monthly.
Five restaurants newly selected as U+ Good Stores, including 'Jung Hwa Yori Chen' in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, known for sharing side dishes with neighbors in need and providing free meals to elderly living alone, 'Hongchan' in Gunsan, Jeonbuk, 'Appa-ui Sonmat' and 'The Jjangteo Main Branch' in Busan, and 'Haetnip Galbi Jungri Branch' in Daejeon, will receive support from LG Uplus starting this month.
The support benefits have also become richer. From this year, LG Uplus decided to additionally provide tax and labor consulting, which small business owners must know. Existing benefits such as prize money (2 million KRW), free store communication fees for three years, LG Electronics home appliances, and marketing through the global influencer marketing platform 'Revu' will be maintained.
So far, a total of 35 'U+ Good Stores' have continued the virtuous cycle of sharing through LG Uplus's support, and customers enjoy SNS content that tells heartwarming stories in various formats such as interviews, short-form videos, webtoons, and illustrations, then participate in the good store 'Donjjulnae-gi' (an online movement derived from the phrase 'to give a hard time,' meaning deliberately ordering from or supporting stores that have done good deeds).
Yoon Hye-jung, CEO of 'Coco Cafe' in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, which was selected as the 20th U+ Good Store in August last year after providing free brunch sets in-store to neighbors in need for 10 years, said, "Thanks to LG Uplus's support, we have received a lot of praise from local residents and it has become a driving force to continue sharing."
