Muan-gun Muan-eup Supports Recovery for Flood-Damaged Households

Muan-eup, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Eupjang Lee Sook-ah) announced that on the 25th, they carried out emergency restoration of two houses in Pyeongwol Village that were flooded due to heavy rain over the weekend, with the cooperation of the military unit.

From the 22nd to the 23rd, Muan-eup experienced heavy rainfall exceeding 200mm, causing water to rise inside two houses located in low-lying areas, reaching the chest level of an adult male.

Since the affected houses were occupied only by elderly residents who found it difficult to restore the damage on their own, support was requested from the Kim Cheol Battalion of the 31st Division Lion Brigade. Forty soldiers came out to assist civilians and worked under the scorching sun for more than half a day to complete the restoration.

A resident of the affected household said, "I felt so helpless, but I am truly grateful that the eup office and the military unit helped me as if it were their own matter."

Lee Sook-ah, the head of Muan-eup, expressed her gratitude to the soldiers of the Kim Cheol Battalion of the 31st Division Lion Brigade, saying, "We will spare no support to help the affected residents quickly return to their daily lives."

Meanwhile, the Kim Cheol Battalion of the 31st Division Lion Brigade also provided restoration support at the site of soil erosion in Gyochon-ri, Muan-eup.
