Discussion on Cybersecurity Directions and Strengthening Cooperation Held on the 27th at Lotte Tower SKY 31 Convention
"Importance of Joint Response to Cyber Threats Increasing"
The "Cybersecurity Policy Forum" public workshop, jointly organized by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Korea Institute of Information Security & Cryptology, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, will be held on the 27th at the Lotte Tower SKY 31 Convention Center. This forum has been operating since 2021 with the participation of leaders and experts in the cybersecurity field to discuss policy directions in the private sector and strengthen the cooperation foundation.
At this workshop, under the main theme of "The Role of the Private Sector in Global Cybersecurity Cooperation," four presentations will be given on topics including ▲the current status and challenges of global cybersecurity cooperation ▲the current status of the domestic cybersecurity industry and future development plans ▲recent cyber threat trends and changes in response strategies ▲misunderstandings and understanding of zero trust. A panel discussion will also be held to hear opinions from experts in various fields of industry, academia, and research related to the main theme.

Lee Won-tae, Director of KISA, stated, “As the Korea-US alliance expands into cyberspace and global cybersecurity cooperation grows, the importance of expanding cooperation in the private sector and joint response to cyber threats is increasing,” adding, “I hope this public workshop will be a time for all of us to communicate about the challenges we face and the roles needed in the private sector cybersecurity field.”
