Gwangju Dong-gu Distributes Cup Sterilizers to Senior Centers
On the 23rd, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it has distributed cup sterilizers to all 120 senior centers in the district to prevent infectious diseases.
An elderly person using a senior center said, "I was secretly worried that infectious diseases might spread because cups, spoons, and chopsticks are used communally," adding, "Now that cup sterilizers have been installed, I feel relieved and can use the facilities with peace of mind."
Im Taek, the head of Dong-gu Office, stated, "Senior centers are spaces for the elderly to enjoy leisure and communicate, and above all, they must be safe and healthy to use," and added, "We will create a happy age-friendly city through meticulous administration to make senior centers more comfortable places for rest."
