Damyang-gun, Special Night Inspection of Livestock Manure Discharge Facilities
Large-Scale Livestock Facilities and Businesses with Frequent Odor Complaints Under Intensive Inspection
Damyang-gun recently launched a special nighttime inspection targeting livestock manure discharge facilities in response to the recent heavy rainfall.
According to the county on the 21st, to prevent the inflow of pollutants into public water bodies and to prevent environmental pollution during heavy rains, the period from the 17th to the 21st was designated as a special inspection period for pollutant discharge facilities during the rainy season, and special nighttime crackdowns were conducted.
During this crackdown, areas with concerns about pollutant leakage due to rising river water levels during heavy rains, large-scale livestock facilities, wastewater discharge businesses, and facilities with frequent odor complaints were intensively inspected.
In addition to monitoring and enforcement activities, promotional and preemptive guidance efforts on environmental pollution prevention were also conducted targeting pollutant discharge facilities and local residents.
