BPA Holds Business Consultation Meeting with Foreign Shipping Companies Using Busan Port
Busan Port Authority (BPA) held a business consultation meeting on the 20th at the BPA headquarters' main conference room to discuss current issues and response measures for Busan Port with branch managers of foreign shipping companies.
At the meeting, branch managers from 10 foreign shipping companies, including MSC, MAERSK, and ONE, attended.
BPA explained the opening of phases 2 to 5 of the West Container Terminal at Busan New Port, the impact of the relocation of the North Port Container Terminal, and plans for the construction of the New Port hinterland complex. They also requested close cooperation on various ongoing projects such as increasing the utilization rate of the New Port AMP (Alternative Maritime Power) and the vessel slow steaming system.

The shipping companies presented various opinions for the development of Busan Port, including the timely operation of the new terminals at the New Port and the maintenance dredging of shipping routes.
