HD Hyundai 1% Nanum Foundation, Group Employees Donate 1% of Salaries for Social Contribution Activities
Support Worth 20 Million KRW Provided to 200 Low-Income Households in Mokpo and Yeongam
HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation (Chairman Kwon Oh-gap) and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries shared warmth by providing summer cooling supplies to low-income households in the region suffering from the intense heat of the midsummer season.
According to Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries on the 19th, they supported 200 summer bedding sets (cooling pads, blankets) worth 20 million KRW for 200 low-income households (100 households each) residing in Mokpo City and Yeongam County.
Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries delivered 100 bedding sets to support low-income households in the region to Mayor Park Hong-ryul (third from the right) at Mokpo City Hall on the 17th.

On the 17th, 100 bedding sets were delivered to Mayor Park Hong-ryul at Mokpo City Hall, and earlier on the 14th, 100 bedding sets were handed over to County Governor Woo Seung-hee at Yeongam County Office.
The recipient households were selected by Mokpo City and Yeongam County from among National Basic Livelihood Security recipients, single-parent families, elderly living alone, lower-income brackets, and households with median income below 80%.
This donation was made through a designated contribution method via the Jeonnam Social Welfare Community Chest’s ‘Happy Supporters’ project, and the bedding sets were prepared using funds from the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation.
The HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation collects 1% of the salaries of group company employees and utilizes it for various social contribution activities.
A representative of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries said, “We hope that through this bedding set support, low-income households in the region facing economic difficulties can have a cool summer.”

Meanwhile, HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries have been steadily carrying out projects such as delivering summer and winter supplies, sharing kimchi for love, the ‘Happy Kki’ project providing side dishes to local seniors, and flood damage recovery support in Mokpo City and Yeongam County.
