Women's Entrepreneurs Week 'Gyeongbuk Women Entrepreneurs Conference' Held... Donation for Heavy Rain Damage Support Delivered First
‘New Future, Leap Together with Gyeongbuk Women Entrepreneurs’ Theme
The ‘Gyeongbuk Women Entrepreneurs Conference’ will be held this year in celebration of Women Entrepreneurs Week.
On the 19th, Gyeongbuk Province will host the event at Chilgok Education and Culture Center, attended by about 200 people including Lee Dal-hee, Deputy Governor for Economy of Gyeongbuk Province, Han Mu-kyung, Member of the National Assembly, Park No-seop, Executive Vice President of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, as well as heads of local institutions and organizations and regional women entrepreneurs.
Under the theme of ‘A New Future, Women Entrepreneurs Soaring Together,’ the event will take time to encourage exemplary women entrepreneurs who have contributed to job creation and revitalization of the local economy through outstanding business management. In addition, an exhibition of excellent products by women-owned businesses and a business difficulty consultation session will be held.
The event will begin with a donation to support the victims of the recent heavy rains.
The donation will be made to the Community Chest of Korea by combining 10 million won collected by member companies until the day before and the amount gathered in the donation box installed at the venue.
Kim Myung-ryang, President of the Gyeongbuk Branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, said, “Today’s event embodies the will of women entrepreneurs to move forward as key players in the economy through communication and harmony connecting generations.”
President Kim added, “I hope that through this entrepreneurs conference, the pride and status of our women entrepreneurs will be further elevated.”

Lee Dal-hee, Deputy Governor for Economy of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “The era of local regions where it is good to live anywhere, led by Gyeongbuk, is approaching,” and added, “We will implement policies to recognize women’s capabilities and create a business-friendly environment for women entrepreneurs.”
