Japan: "North Korea launches 2 objects suspected to be ballistic missiles"
The Japanese government announced on the morning of the 19th that North Korea fired two objects suspected to be ballistic missiles.
According to major Japanese media, the Japan Coast Guard announced that North Korea fired objects suspected to be ballistic missiles at around 3:35 AM and 3:48 AM, respectively.
Both objects are estimated to have fallen outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida instructed to do his best in gathering and analyzing information. He also requested the prompt and accurate provision of information, ensuring the safety of aircraft and ships, and preparation for unforeseen situations.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff also reported that they detected two short-range ballistic missiles launched by North Korea from the Sunan area toward the East Sea on the same day.

North Korea appears to have carried out the provocation in response to the launch of the new extended deterrence consultative body between South Korea and the United States, the Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG), and the arrival of a U.S. strategic nuclear submarine (SSBN) in Busan.
