Ministry of Labor Investigates Workplace Bullying Cases
The police have concluded that there is no criminal suspicion in the case where a security guard at an apartment in Gangnam, Seoul, allegedly suffered abuse of power from the building manager and made an extreme choice.

View original imageAccording to the Suseo Police Station in Seoul on the 17th, the apartment building manager, Mr. An, underwent multifaceted investigations including closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage review, on-site inspection, and interviews with related parties, but was cleared of any criminal involvement and the pre-indictment investigation (internal inquiry) was closed.
Earlier, security guard Mr. Park (74) left a note to his colleagues on March 14 stating, "I am struggling because of the abuse of power by the person responsible for management," and jumped from the 9th floor of the apartment building.
A police official explained, "The issue of abuse of power falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ministry of Employment and Labor and is not a matter for the police to handle."
