Dairy Industry Also Lowers Prices... Maeil Dairies to Reduce Cup Coffee Prices
Maeil Dairies will lower the prices of its cup coffee products starting this August.
According to the dairy industry on the 17th, Maeil Dairies will reduce the prices of 14 types of cup coffee products by 100 to 200 won from August 1.
Accordingly, the prices of three products, including Cafe Latte Mild Cup (220mL), will be lowered from 2,200 won to 2,100 won, a 100 won decrease each. Five products, including Barista Espresso (250mL), will also see a 100 won price cut from 2,700 won to 2,600 won. The prices of six products, including Barista Vanilla Bean Latte (325mL), will be reduced by 200 won from 3,200 won to 3,000 won.
A Maeil Dairies official said, "We decided to lower prices to reduce the burden on customers following the recent stabilization of coffee bean prices."

Previously, following the government's recommendation to reduce prices, food companies have been lowering their product prices. After the government's recommendation to reduce ramen prices last month, food companies have successively cut their product prices. Nongshim lowered the wholesale prices of Shin Ramyun and Shrimp Chips by 4.5% and 6.9%, respectively, and Samyang Foods decided to reduce the prices of 12 products sequentially by an average of 4.7%. Lotte Wellfood also lowered the prices of three snack products by 100 won each, and SPC reduced the prices of 30 types of bread by an average of 5%.
