Yeonggwang-gun, Gamami Beach Reopens After 4 Years
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 17th that Gamami Beach was opened for the first time in four years on the 14th.
The county has prioritized safety as the top goal for operating the beach this year, establishing a close cooperation system with related organizations such as the Coast Guard, Fire Station, and Police Station. In addition, they have secured sufficient mobile clinics and their own safety management personnel, and plan to do their best to ensure an accident-free beach.

The county has expanded camping facilities and rest areas such as caravans, Mongolian tents, and camping decks that family tourists can enjoy, and especially has significantly renovated the water playground.
Also, at Gamami Beach, following last year, various events such as eel hand-catching experiences, beach song festivals, and invited music performances will be held over two days on July 4th and 5th to attract many tourists.
Governor Kang Jong-man said, “Through the improvement of various facilities, we have enhanced convenience for tourists and created a beautiful and romantic beach. We will also strive to make visitors this year want to return next year by practicing kindness and maintaining sound recreational order.”
