[Breaking] Landslide at Nonsan Yangji Memorial Park Buries Family of 4... 2 in Cardiac Arrest
On the 14th, a landslide occurred at the columbarium of Yangji Memorial Park in Nonsan-si, Chungnam, where a heavy rain warning had been issued, burying a family of four. They were rescued, but two were found in cardiac arrest.
At 4:02 PM that day, the fire authorities received a report that the columbarium building had collapsed, burying four visitors. Immediately after the accident, 119 rescue workers were dispatched and rescued all four buried individuals by 5:32 PM, one and a half hours later.
Among them, two people, estimated to be a couple in their 60s to 70s, were transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest. One person, known to be a cousin, is in critical condition, while the couple’s son, a man in his 20s, is reported to be conscious.
