Gwangju Dong-gu 'Horangkodume Village School' Successfully Concluded
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 14th that the ‘Horangkodume Village Teacher Village School’ was successfully completed.
The ‘Horangkodume Village Teacher Village School’ was established to secure the sustainability of the urban regeneration project and to provide an opportunity for village activists who wish to grow as village entities to demonstrate their capabilities.
The village classes held at Seondeoksa Temple, Sansu Catholic Church, senior centers, and other locations within Dong-gu were conducted by 21 Horangkodume village teachers for about 70 students, offering courses in six fields: ▲health gymnastics ▲dough art ▲children’s cooking ▲knitting ▲calligraphy ▲leather crafts.

The village teachers shared roles as main instructors and assistant instructors, actively participating in all processes necessary for curriculum development by field, scheduling and securing locations for education, recruiting students, and conducting classes, receiving positive evaluations through a performance sharing meeting.
