Suncheon Garden Expo 100-Day Celebration, Garden Music Festival Held
Commemorative Events, Prize Drawings, and Celebration Performances, etc.
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that it will hold the Garden Music Festival on the 15th at the permanent stage in Ocheon Green Plaza to commemorate the 100th day since the opening of the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo.
The event will proceed in the order of Part 1 commemorative ceremony starting at 6:30 PM, Part 2 popular ballad congratulatory performances, and a finale fireworks show. In addition, a prize drawing event will be held to celebrate surpassing 5 million visitors in just 84 days since the opening.
The Part 1 commemorative ceremony will begin with pre-event performances by the K-POP trio band Glu and the street dance performance group ILLBRO. Various events will follow, including a gratitude event for those who have worked hard in various fields such as landscaping and environment since the opening day, a 100-day commemorative rice cake cutting, special performances, and viewing of a commemorative video covering from the first expo held in 2013 to the present.
Furthermore, the Part 2 congratulatory performances will feature popular ballad singers such as Lee Seok-hoon, Class of 2021, Min Kyung-hoon, and Gummy, whose sweet voices will blow away the midsummer heat, along with a finale fireworks show and various other attractions.
The performances can be attended by simply bringing a mat and entering Ocheon Green Plaza without the need for separate performance tickets or advance booking of expo admission tickets.
A Suncheon City official stated, “Amid the enthusiastic interest of the public, the expo surpassed 5 million visitors in 84 days since its opening and continues to set new records daily,” adding, “We hope this 100-day commemorative event will celebrate the successful hosting of the expo and help maintain the expo’s momentum for the remaining period.”
