BPA, Safety Inspection for Heavy Rain and Typhoon at New Port Sub-Container Terminal Automation Equipment Test Site
Busan Port Authority (BPA) inspected the safety of the trial operation site for cargo handling equipment at the West Container Terminal of Busan New Port on the 12th in preparation for heavy summer rains and typhoons.
From July to September, the risk of accidents at the site is high due to heavy rains and typhoons. Given the 24-hour operation characteristic of the port, damage to large cargo handling equipment such as container cranes can cause serious disruptions to operations.
During this safety inspection, BPA plans to focus on the trial operation site of the cargo handling equipment at the West Container Terminal of the New Port to identify and improve risk factors in advance.
Lee Sang-kwon, Vice President of Construction, and the Busan Port Authority inspection team are conducting a safety inspection at the West Container Terminal.

All employees will actively pay attention to preventing safety accidents to make Busan Port a workplace where port workers can work safely.”
